Frequently asked questions about consultations
Answers to the questions people ask most before registering: how consultations work, what credentials mean, what to prepare, and how your information is handled. If your question is not covered here, contact the team before you book.
Two questions decide everything else
Most people arrive at this page holding one of two worries: is this medical care, and will I have to buy something. Once those are settled, the rest of the answers here are simply logistics — formats, timing, preparation, and what happens to your notes.
Is this a treatment service?
No. NutriBali provides nutrition guidance and everyday meal-planning support. Consultants do not diagnose, treat, or adjust medication, and they will tell you when a question belongs with your doctor. If you are looking for medical treatment, a clinic or hospital is the right place to start.
Do you sell supplements or products?
No. NutriBali does not sell supplements, meal replacements, or products alongside consultations, and there is no affiliate arrangement in the advice. If a consultant recommends a food, it fits your plan. Nothing in a consultation depends on you buying something.
What you choose before the first session
Which credential should I look for?
Ahli gizi · dietisienSpecialist title SpGK appears where a specialist is relevant. In Indonesia the nutritionist and dietitian roles follow separate regulatory tracks, and both can give nutrition guidance within their scope.
Do I need a video call, or can I use chat?
Your choiceChat konsultasi is available and suits follow-ups and small adjustments. For a first consultation, voice or a video call usually works better, because your consultant needs to walk through your pre-assessment and explain how the plan is structured. You choose the format when you book.
How long does a consultation last, and what does it cost?
Confirmed at bookingSession length and fee are confirmed at booking, before you commit to a slot, so you know what you are agreeing to. A session includes the consultation, a written meal plan, and a follow-up check-in. If you need more sessions, you book them the same way.
Can I request a specific consultant or a language?
Indonesian · EnglishYou can state a preference at registration, and we try to accommodate it within availability and topic fit. If another consultant is a better match for your question, we will explain why before booking rather than after.
What if I need to reschedule?
Tell us earlyConsultants hold your slot and cannot fill it at short notice, so reasonable notice makes rescheduling straightforward. Repeated missed sessions may affect whether we can hold a preferred time, and we will always tell you where you stand.
What a single consultation actually involves
How does the pre-assessment work?
It is a questionnaire completed before your session, covering your usual meals, who you cook for, restrictions, and how much time you have. It is not a test and there are no right answers. Your consultant reads it before the session so the time goes into advice rather than background questions.
Book the slot and complete the questions in the same visit, or leave it and finish later. Nothing is reviewed until you submit it.
What should I prepare before the session?
Complete the pre-assessment, bring a rough food diary from one week, and note what you cook most often. List any allergies and the foods you are not willing to give up. If you want to discuss a specific product, have a photo of the label ready.
- One week of rough notes on meals, even if incomplete
- Allergies, intolerances, and foods you will not give up
- Who you cook for and how much time you have on a weekday
What do I get after the session?
A written meal plan built around your pre-assessment, with meals, rough portions, and swaps for difficult days. You also get a follow-up as part of monitoring dan evaluasi, where your consultant reviews how the plan went and adjusts it. The plan is a working document, not a fixed rulebook.
What information do you collect?
Registration details, your pre-assessment answers, and notes from your consultation. They are used to arrange the session, prepare your consultant, and follow up. Our privacy policy sets out what is stored, how long it is kept, and how to request a change or deletion.
Consultation notes stay with the consultant who wrote them so a follow-up does not repeat questions you already answered. If you want to see, correct, or remove anything, write to us and we will explain the options in plain terms.
What if my question is medical?
Questions about diagnosis, medication, or symptoms that worry you belong with a doctor. Consultants here work on the nutrition side and will say plainly when something needs medical review. Nutrition support can sit alongside your doctor's care, and often does, but it does not replace it.
Still unsure which session fits your question?
Send the team a short note before you register. Describe what you want to change about your meals and what has been difficult so far, and we will point you to the consultant and format that matches, or tell you plainly if a consultation is not the right step.
